From beginning to end, it was a great script, using all the techniques that Shakespeare used to introduce people and set the scene, without showing off or making the play ungainly. It is hard when simply using dialogue to ‘show, don’t tell’, but the author managed this very well.
The excellently worded dialogue was clear, easily understood and with great definition of characters, in that it was very easy to tell from the voice who was speaking. It was a very good auditory ploy to have the Prince speak with a slightly upper class English accent to define not just his character but his rank. The writer had created realistic and believable dialogue. An excellent production. I look forward to what happened next.
Olivia Eaton who plays Emily Sweeney in Black Friday 1745:
``I thought the Black Friday 1745 production was an amazing experience for me. I thought all of the people I worked with were very supportive in what I was doing . I had so much fun and I loved it. I would like to thank all of the production team and everyone involved for the amazing support and also for the wonderful history lesson that I gained . I hope there will be more opportunities like this with Jacobite productions for me and I would strongly recommend anyone interested to get involved. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.``
